      Comments:

I was using an older mountain bike on my local bike paths, an hour or so, several times a week. Since owning this bike I have gone out twice a day on some weekends. I find I want to go further an I now look for hills to go up, because shifting gears is so fun an so easy. I had a wide comfy seat, and didn't think I would like this one, but with my bike shorts it is very comfortable. I am trying to talk my wife into getting one for herself, so we can take day trips together.... I had my eye on a bike with a front shock, that was more money, but this rides great, with a sturdy, feel, and it is much lighter that a front shock bike. Worth what I paid....

Comfort and performance. Top quality bicycle that is a pure pleasure to ride. Everything you need unless you are a competition rider. I ride between 70 and 90 miles a week, and enjoy every minute. Highly recommended.

I used this bike in Dallas and it was perfect for comfort and an enjoyable sunday ride. Its huge and amazingly comfortable, like an old cadillac. It was the right bike when I lived in that house with a garage. But this summer I'm in manhattan and need something smaller, because I can't even get this thing onto the elevator.

            Comments:

I put 600 miles on it this summer, mostly 10-20 casual mile rides of 10-15mph. The seat suspension needs frequent lubrication to keep it from squeaking(not a big deal but irritating). I finally replaced the rear rim after 3 different spokes broke. Okay for short rides, 30 mile ride was pushing it on this bike. Love the tires, where many others had flats I just kept moving on. Shifting was just...okay.

Bought two, one for me and one for my wife. My wife has not ridden since she was a child. She was able to master this bike quickly. I have not ridden in about 15 years. My last bike was a 21 speed touring bike. Now I need an upright riding position due to arthritis. This bike suits the need perfectly. We ride 6 to 10 miles in the evening, several times a week. Shopped online for about 3 months before making the decision to buy this bike, and it was a good decision. Great for around the neighborhood and on the bikeway.

After only a 100 miles, I really like this bike. With the high pressure tires, I am now able to ride with ease and speed with the versatility somewhere between a mountain bike and a road bike. Smooth on the road and endures a pot hole or curb like a mountain bike. I am especially impressed with the smooth and crisp shifting of the drive train. The saddle is very comfortable and the overall look of the bike is very cool. I may have to buy one for my wife....she can't keep up.

              Comments:

I haven't had a new bike since my 10 speed in 1981. I researched for months and ended up with the Crossroad Elite. You know you can trust the name and the ride felt fantastic! (I did roll the handlebars forward a little for a more forward lean.) I guess I can't get away from that old 10 speed feeling. It feels great to ride and looks cool. (except the bar looks a little like a girls bike but no-one's laughed at me yet.) The seat is comfortable and I love the front fork loose. Wow is the rear derailer quiet! The high pressure tires really sold me on this model. put 95psi and it rolls smoothly with speed. I ride at night with a headlight and a couple of times I came to a scarry looking pot hole or I hit the curb too fast and everytime I'm impressed at how this bike just sails over the dangers. I feel very sound and safe on my new ride.
